Rockpool Bar & Grill Perth introduces a new Bar and cocktail menu
5 May 2016.
Neil Perry and his team of Chefs, Mixologists and Sommeliers at Rockpool Bar & Grill Perth have introduced a range of new dishes to the Bar menu and an impressive new cocktail list.
Some of the dishes are new to the menu while others are back by popular demand, and the new cocktail list features names such as ‘Salvatore’s Cure All’, Bourbon & Blood’, Negroni Rojo Grande’ ‘Black & Smoke Margarita’ and ’Canadian in New York’.
- Spice Temple’s renowned spice fried chicken wings is a Sichuan-inspired dish, in which the wings are coated in Sichuan pepper and salt, fried till golden brown and crisp. Tossed and stir-fried with chillies.
They are a welcome addition to the Bar menu, matched perfectly by the new
‘19th Century Perfect Martini’ or a glass of the Rockpool Riesling by Jeffrey Grosset.
- A small plates section that includes Fish ceviche with sourdough; Fratelli Galloni Parma prosciutto with house made pickles; the Classic prawn cocktail with avocado and sauce Marie Rose; and Pulled pork tacos using Big Red herd farmed on Palm Springs Farm at Forest Grove from Western Australia’s own David Honen.
- Four main burgers featuring the David Blackmore full Blood Wagyu burger, a Harvey Beef grass fed burger, a fried chicken breast burger and a chickpea and quinoa burger.
- Perth born and bred Mixologist Dan Ambrose and the Bar team have created a new cocktail list which features 10 cocktails, some of which use the restaurant’s own barrel aged bases.
Favorites like the ‘Rockpool Tonic’ with Westwind “Sabre” WA gin is bottled in house and ready to drink.
Cocktails like ‘Fallen Apple’ and ‘Canadian in New York’ are ideal to enjoy with one of the Bar’s new petit four plates.
The Bar also showcases a selection of over 100 whiskeys from around the world.
Neil is continually impressed by the outstanding produce from local suppliers including David Honen’s pork and lamb, Partridges Seafood’s locally caught coral trout and red emperor, and Wagin Duck and Game’s quails and Peking ducks.
“With Rockpool Bar & Grill Perth surrounded by some of the country’s best producers, we are spoilt for choice and love that we can change our menus regularly and deliver the best food and wine that WA has to offer to our customers, whether it be a quick lunch in the bar or a four course dining experience in the restaurant,” says Neil.
